You may find a Phiten titanium necklace, and you should know what to expect of it.
The Phiten titanium necklace is by far the most known product of the PHI-TEN company and has taken the greatest share of the load regarding the ongoing controversy about the real effects it has on the human body.
There are two opposing sides on this debate. One is represented by the thousands of Phiten product users; their arguments revolve around several tales of the actual positive benefits that they or their relatives have experienced by using this stuff. Their point is also augmented by what scarce information the company has released to general public, and, I should say, by the general awe and mystery that surrounds titanium metal itself.
The other side is made by skeptics and people that tend to use good judgment when presented with a new commercial product, especially when such product claims some impressive results, and its manufacturing technology is not transparent and understandable enough in order to be accepted as “mainstream”, so to speak. Who ever questioned the use ibuprofen in pain-killers, for instance?
Their position is strengthened by the fact that PHI-TEN has yet to secure a FDA approval for their proprietary technology. Also, the information provided by the company is not presented in a form that would denote the structural and repeatable process that western consumer tends to expect when accepting a new thing, especially when dealing with pharmacology products.
Moreover, the PHI-TEN releases have that unmistakable pseudo-science allure, as it refers to several scientists and millions of dollars research budget, but without pin-pointing an actual published report or providing the name of one tangible individual involved in this research project.
My personal opinion is that Phiten titanium necklace should be evaluated from a different perspective that other
commercial applications
of titanium. It is certain that there is no proven scientific study that could settle this dispute once and for all. But you should not expect from a t-shirt manufacturer the same rigorousness that you should from a pharmaceutical laboratory.
The fact that PHI-TEN claim that their products have some medical impact on back pain and muscle relaxation is of no more significance than the yogurt producers claim regarding possible weight loss for those having a rich diary products diet.
As long as the products don’t actually harm you, the claim is validated only by your decision and personal experience with that product. I strongly think this is why FDA is not rushing either to endorse, or to take PHI-TEN of the market, as their main objective is to keep the population safe, and not to asses every possible claim that private companies make in order to enhance their sales.
I remember that PEPSI implied once through their commercials that you can actually follow the sun across the globe and keep partying forever, if only you had your PEPSI-MAX supply ready at hand!
In the end, Phiten titanium necklaces and t-shirts look really cool, and are not that expensive. And Japanese culture has a long history of using different methods of aligning bio-currents, using acupuncture, meditation and other oriental, non-western like methods. Why wouldn’t be Phiten titanium necklace a new contender in that field?
What's your experience with phiten titanium?
My pages about phiten necklaces and phiten bracelets have generated quite a controversy. Some people left some very interesting comments on my contact page. As I truly believe that the truth can only be born froms such discussions, I want to give everybody the chance to directly express their opinion on this hot topic.
