Phiten bracelet – the avant-garde of future technologies

Behind the Phiten bracelet there is a lot of science. Actually, is more like pseudo-science, but still, it is science nonetheless.

The core concept of all Phiten products is the permeation of ordinary textile fibers with a solution magnificently called Aqua Titanium. Allegedly, this is a water based solution containing titanium ions that will later be emitted and will positively influence the electro-magnetic field of the body, reducing pain and eliminating stress.

Theoretical, the means of producing this solution are based on a concept involving melting titanium in a vacuum atmosphere saturated with water vapors. This supposedly allows titanium ions to mix with the water vapors. This mix is then cooled, transforming the water vapors back into liquid form – but not into mere water, but into Aqua Titanium.

It’s true that metals and water don’t easily mix. But it’s not unheard of water containing different heavy metals. Titanium may not be one of them, but still, one has to account for the possibility to find also titanium, along with cadmium, lead or chromium.

The key to understand this paradox and the Phiten bracelet is that all these metals are not found as components of solution, in which water is a solvent. They are found as fine suspended particles. And there several ways, and most of them occur naturally, which lead to the separation of the trace quantities of these metals from the water. There is no documented way of keeping a metal-water compound as stable as Phiten producers claim to be able of obtain by Phild Process.

Since the ancient times, the precursors of the chemical scientists – the alchemists have nominated water as the ultimate solvent. Back then this was caused by the availability of water. It surrounds us in every possible way. Even our bodies contain more than 70% water, not to mention the Earth itself. The Greeks included it in the exclusive list of the elemental components of the universe – earth, wind, fire and water.

The modern chemistry recognizes water capabilities of mixing with almost any known compound. It is also the only chemical component that can be treated both as an acid or a base, depending on the kind of chemical reactions it is involved with. That’s why, maybe, sometime in the future, water will indeed be used in some form of chemical reaction that will allow the dissolving of the metals.

I strongly believe science-fiction authors to be the true visionaries of our future. In their mind-created worlds there are no limitations. Everything is possible. They create technology, products and universes in the blink of an eye. But this is how everything starts. No invention has started on a laboratory table, but rather in the mind of a scientist.

Albert Einstein said that and I wholeheartedly agree. That’s why I respect Phiten. They may try to make profit from a hoax, but at least they’re imagining something that has not been tried before.

Next time you’re looking at a Phiten bracelet and consider purchasing, do not do it because you will hope to have your neck pain relieved. Seeing a physician is the better way. But do purchase it as a tribute to some very imaginative people.
